The Foundation believes the poppy cultivation, drug trafficking and its production as an illicit process that is against the teachings of Islam and ruins human lives within and outside the country. Therefore, it is one of the targets of Assalam Welfare Foundation to struggle against the cultivation of puppy, production and smuggling of opium
Assalam Welfare Foundation fights against narcotics by;
- Motivating the farmers to grow allowed (Halal) crops instead of puppy cultivation
- Provide Afghan farmers with financial, material and technical resources for alternative crops
- Public Awareness through seminars, public gatherings, and publications
- Building hospitals for the treatment of drug addicts
- Joint effort with national and international humanitarian organization to build an Afghanistan free of narcotics.
